In Bible times, the Hebrew people had the city of Jerusalem that they returned to regularly as a spiritual pilgrimage.
We may not have an attachment to a place as the Hebrew people did to Jerusalem, but we know what it is to need a home.  Each of us desires a safe space where we are loved, accepted, known, and cherished despite all our flaws.

If we are fortunate, we have family, friends or a community that provides us with acceptance, nurture and support.  But, even when we must begin again to build a loving community, God is with us, offering that home and safe place we deeply need.
At the Clinton United Methodist Church, we seek to provide a “home” for fellow travelers on the journey of faith.  For the seasoned traveler who is looking for a home to “charge your batteries” and continue to grow in your study of God’s word - welcome home!

For the new believer who has recently come back to or begun their journey of faith and is looking for a place to form a solid beginning - welcome home!

For the explorer who is still trying to find their way  and is filled with questions and curiosities - welcome home!

Our prayer for each of you is that you find in our Congregation a warm and welcoming community that will provide a home for you as you travel the long and winding road of the journey of faith. We pray that you will find a home that will accept your questions, encourage your spiritual growth, and nurture your path of discipleship.
May we be for each other the loving community that extends the open arms of love, grace, and fellowship!
