WEEKLY REHEARSALS:

 

Chancel Choir - 8:00 pm, Thursday, choir room
The Chancel Choir welcomes new choirsters from high school teens though adults.  Please feel welcome to drop in any rehearsal and join us in lifting our voices in praise to the Lord!  We have weekly rehearsals through the school year and usually accompany the 8:30 AM Sunday morning worship service.  We relax a bit and break for the summer months, resuming in the fall.  Won't you join us?

 

Praise Team - 7:00pm on Wednesday evenings in the sanctuary.  Rehearsals begin 9-08-2011.

 

Hand Bells - 7:00pm on Thursday evenings in the choir room.  Beginning of fall rehearsals will be announced. 

 

Jubilee Singers - 6:15pm on Thursday evenings in the choir room.  (All 3rd through 8th graders welcome!)  Rehearsals begin 9-15-2011.

Music Director:
Dr. Victor Shen serves CUMC as our Music Director.

Dr. Shen is also the director of the Rutgers University Queen's Chorale and serves on the board of the Trenton Children's Chorus.  He is a former faculty member of Tung Hai University, Music Director of the National Taiwan University Chorus in Taipei, host of a weekly radio program in Taiwan, and the former conductor of Bel Canto Opera Chorus in NYC.  His church experience spans over 20 years in the US and Taiwan, including Music Director posts at Bound Brook and Simpson UMC, Taiwanese-American Presbyterian Church in New Brunswick, and interim Bell Choir Director at Nassau Presbyterian Church in Princeton.  Dr. Shen holds advanced degrees from Westminster Choir College and University of Maryland.
