Equipping Disciples for Jesus Christ

Church History

Clinton United Methodist church was established sometime after 1832. The mission of the church was to spread a message of Christian hope to the community and the world. In the years to follow land was purchased, and in 1839 a sanctuary was built.  In the early 1980's an education center was added.

Today the Clinton United Methodist Church continues to worship at 12 Halstead Street, in downtown Clinton. This campus offers a full education program for children and adults and 2 worship services on Sunday mornings at 8:30 & 11:00 am.  Sunday School for all ages is held at 9:45 a.m.

The church has grown and yet it still holds fast to the message of its founders bringing a message of the love of Christ to the community and to the world.
