Our music groups meet at 12 Halstead Street unless otherwise noted.
The CUMC Praise Team rehearses weekly at 7:00 pm on Wednesday evenings in the sanctuary.
Jubilee Singers, Hand Bell Choir, and Chancel Choir recess for summer and will resume rehearsals in September.
Singers and Ringers: The music department of CUMC is always searching for folks looking to witness for Christ through music. Our Chancel Choir (adults and young adults high school aged and up) rehearses on Thursdays at 8:00 pm. Our handbell choir (also for high schoolers and up) rehearses on Thursdays at 7:00 pm. You do not have to read music to join our music ministry. We welcome you with open arms!

Our Music Director:
Dr. Victor Shen serves CUMC as our Music Director. Dr. Shen is also the artistic director of the Trenton Chorus and the Rutgers University Queen's Chorale. He is a former faculty member of Tung Hai University, Music Direcrot of the National Taiwan University Chorus in Taipei, host of a weekly radio program in Taiwan, and the former conductor of Bel Canto Opera Chorus in NYC. His church experience spans over 20 years in the US and Taiwan, including Music Director posts at Bound Brook and Simpson UMC, Taiwanese-American Presbyterian Church in New Brunswick, and interim Bell Choir Director at Nassau Presbyterian Church in Princeton. Dr. Shen holds advanced degrees from Westminster Choir College and University of Maryland.
